I just visited Brett at the hospital,and dropped off their mail.
Even though he couldn’t speak, he was touched with emotion when I presented our signed stuff animal. He was conscious and had some facial expressions.
I didn’t see Kathy who was showing the children L A, but I did meet Brett’s parents.
It was nice to not have his quick-witted comebacks. I challenged him to be back at Rotary by the time I can next make a meeting in mid-August.
Overall, it just takes time for him to recover and additional encouragement would be helpful.
It was an honor to be the club’s ambassador to cheer Brett up.
